First Ever Torrent Exclusive Series Released

efeg Torrents have been getting a bad rap lately, but pressure has been increasing lately as more and more studios are cracking down on piracy. They must know that you cannot kill a system like that (even by suing those who downloaded The Hurt Locker), it’s just too large and spread out. Somebody seems to get this, as we are now seeing the first series ever to be released exclusively for free download via torrents. The show, Pioneer One, is a science fiction story about an object falling from space only to release radiation which spreads all over North America. US Homeland Security, suspecting terrorism , sends agents to investigate and contain the damage. What they discover will have implications for the entire world. Sounds pretty badass to me, especially after Splice left me with a bad taste in my mouth. One issue with torrents though is that torrents don’t cost anything to use and therefore the studio has to look for less conventional ways of making the money to fund these episodes. This is where we come in, as the show is completely funded by donations and the studio is banking on us liking the show enough to put some money down to see it through. The first episode (pilot) was shot for just $6000 and they are looking for at least $20,000 for the filming of the next three episodes. While I can’t comment on the quality of the show as I have not yet seen it, it is in my downloads queue and of course, if it is good I will definitely donate to see it through to the end. If you are interested, you can download it in HD or Xvid here. Source: Vodo
