New social networks have been launching every other day for the last half decade. Everyone seems to play on variations of the same thing, but Smule has a different approach to socializing.

In a move to unite fans of its popular mobile apps, the social music company Smule is launching a social network for music makers who use its apps. Now the people who use Smule apps can unite in their own community where they can share musical creations with each other.

The Smule Nation social network includes music created by fans of Smule’s apps, including Magic Piano, Ocarina, I Am T-Pain, Guitar!, and Sing! Karaoke. More than 125 million listeners have created more than 1 billion songs using Smule’s apps.
