#Video: Networking society can bring prosperity (in theory)

Mobile Money

Money can’t buy you happiness. On the other hand, not having money can make it hard to find the prosperity that often does bring happiness.

In this video from Ericsson, the premise is this: if you change the way that the world is networked and allow for ways that those in third world countries can have access to proper financial infrastructure, they’ll be able to help themselves and thus help society in general. It’s a very noble concept. We’re not sure if it would work, but it makes for a nice 16 minute video.

“Cash is king… the king is dead,” according to the video. Maybe it is. Then again, maybe the redistribution of wealth is a scary proposal. We’ll probably be finding out sooner rather than later.
