We’re pretty sure companies can’t be happy when photos or details about their products are leaked ahead of their official announcement. Apple is a company known for their secrecy and tight-lippedness, or at least they once were. It seems that ever since the iPhone 5, Apple has had a tough time clamping down on leaks. In fact photos of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were making their way across the internet well before Apple had announced them, and if those trends are to continue, it seems that the iPhone 6 is probably one of the worst-kept secrets of all time, thanks to the flood of leaked images we’ve seen lately.
There has been no shortage of iPhone leaks leading up to the highly anticipated launch of Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup. Well-known insider Ming-Chi Kuo seemingly outed all of the key details surrounding Apple’s completely redesigned iPhone 6 and iPhone phablet back in April. Beyond that, we’ve seen dozens of mockups based on what are claimed to be schematics of Apple’s new iPhones that leaked from Foxconn. But iPhone 6 leaks may soon be harder to come by — Apple has reportedly assembled a task force that will look to put an end to iPhone 6 leaks. Insider Sonny Dickson published countless images of leaked components from unreleased iPhone and iPad models last year. He has been far more quiet so far this year as leaks continue to trickle out from other sources, and a pair of recent tweets may help explain why.
