I doubt anyone has ever been particularly excited about new USB ports but, according to Google, everyone should be excited about the new USB Type-C ports that are being adopted by Google itself as well as several other tech companies, most notably Apple. The company has released a video explaining why it is you should be so excited.
OK, so USB Type-C ports aren’t the kinds of things that get people super hyped like new iPhones or Samsung phones. But they’re actually a very exciting development and they came into the spotlight earlier this week when we learned that both Apple’s new MacBook and Google’s new Chromebook Pixel featured USB Type-C ports.
