As expected of a movie as highly-anticipated as the new Avengers, there has been tons of footage of Age of Ultron released over the past few months. Even so, most of the footage has focused on the recurring heroes and the new villain while we’ve only seen glimpses of the two new and perhaps most interesting characters: Quicksilver and his twin sister, Scarlet Witch. That is, until now.
A ton of Age of Ultron footage has been released over the past few months, and Marvel is still revealing tidbits here and there. A featurette about twins Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, otherwise known as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, has been released, giving us a more thorough look at their background. As expected, the two aren’t exactly friendly with the Avengers at first, but it looks like they eventually come around. Of the two, I’m really liking how Scarlet Witch’s powers translate to the big screen. Not only does she have the ability to shoot people with beams of energy, but she can manipulate others in the worst ways. Definitely someone you want to have on your side. There’s a lot of emotional depth to the two characters from what we can tell, which is refreshing with so many big names involved; it adds yet another layer of complexity to the story.
