Apple may be the most popular smartphone manufacturer in the United States, but Android still dominates in terms of operating system market share. According to comScore, Google’s mobile operating system makes up 52.8% of the market, an ever so slight increase from a few months ago. Coming in second is iOS with 41.8% while BlackBerry, Symbian, and Windows Phone make up the minuscule portion of the market that remains.

Android’s share in the market sits at 52.8 percent, which is up compared to the 52.6 percent of the market it held in November 2014. Coming in second is iOS, which fell ever-so-slightly from 41.8 percent to 41.7 percent. Windows Phone held the third spot, with a slight increase from 3.4 percent up to 3.5 percent, and BlackBerry dropped from 2.0 percent down to 1.8 percent. Fifth place is still Symbian, which stayed constant at 0.1 percent. As far as smartphone manufactures, Apple still holds the top position but they did experience a small drop from 41.8 percent to 41.7 percent. Samsung comes in next, also with a drop, from 29.7 percent to 28.6 percent, but LG managed to pick up some shares, from 7.6 percent up to 8.3 percent. Motorola lost very little from 5.2 percent to 5.1 percent while HTC went up to 3.8 percent from 3.7 percent.
