Analyst predicts Apple devices outnumbering Windows PCs in 2014

Apple devices are set to outnumber Windows devices this year. Or that is what Horace Dediu, analyst with Asymco, believes. Dediu seems to have taken into account all Apple devices, such as Macs, iPhones and iPads when he compares their market performance with  Windows PCs. Though this may not seem like a fair comparison, it certainly points to the amazing popularity the Apple rigs could be enjoying right now.

Horace Dediu of Asymco does good work. Yesterday he published a thought-provoking article entitled “When Apple reached parity with Windows,” which immediately caused readers to lose their minds. Dediu set up a very specific analytical perspective: Windows-based PCs compared to Apple’s more diverse lineup of tablets, phones, mobile computing devices (the iPod Touch), and Macintosh PCs.
