Because Your Camera Phone Really Does Suck

Let’s face it – your phone’s camera sucks. I don’t care if you’ve got a fancy-assed iBerry Droidstorm Triple X Premium. Its camera sucks. Phone cameras just suck. That said, we need our phone’s camera. Y’know, for taking pictures of stuff (I sure can’t afford a Nikon). But that doesn’t make them suck any less. What are we to do? Do the opposite of fret, of course. The photophiles over at Photojojo have decided to entreat the lesser photographer to a set of lenses that help your camera phone become the faux DSLR you never wanted to pay for. And you’ll never have to, because these little guys are not only inexpensive ($20), but pack a considerable punch in the awesome department, too. lol2 The two models grant your camera the boon of fisheye, wide angle, and macro shots, suddenly enabling all manner of wicked rad Facebook Mobile Uploads ballyhoo. The lenses are attached to your camera via a small magnetic ring ‘installed’ (glued) around your phone’s existing lens. It’s more attractive than it sounds, I promise. And it takes rad pictures. And doesn’t suck, like your phone’s camera does now.

  1. What a great idea, this is a project that I actually think is pretty cool. Though the iPhone 4’s camera is pretty good.
