If 450HP isn’t enough for your Stingray, Hennessey is taking it over 1000HP

2014 Corvette C7 Stingray

Tech geeks around the world love mods. Any time we have the opportunity, the resources, and the know-how to take something amazing and squeeze out more performance, we do it. There’s a reason why it used to take a special type of computer to run Crysis.

The same holds true for motor heads. Squeezing out a few extra horses from a modified engine has helped to bring the highest levels of technology to garages across the globe and continues to give us more parts to the Fast and the Furious movie series. When Chevrolet unveiled the 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray, the excitement didn’t just center around the first new Stingray in over four decades. It represented an opportunity for the highest degrees of auto-modification elites to take a crack at an icon. Hennessey Performance is the first to deliver.

Their modification package will include twin turbochargers, high-flow cylinder heads, a custom cat-back exhaust system, an intercooler, and dozens of minor components to take the 6.2-liter, 450HP engine over the thousand mark. No official pricing has been announced but similar modifications from the Hennessey camp have run close to $70,000. The announcement came today and Hennessey told Fox News that they’ve already received 2 pre-orders.

According to Ed Bozarth Chevrolet:

If 1000HP is overkill, Hennessey is offering three other packages: an 800HP version of the full modification as well as a 700HP and 600HP supercharger package.

Hey, if you’re going to build a death machine, you might as well go all out.
