iPad 2 in White? Here We Go Again…

It’s pretty safe to say at this point that the white iPhone 4 will never see the light of day (the fact that the light of day is, in fact, the reason it hasn’t been released yet notwithstanding) Everyone who really wanted an iPhone 4 – even the stragglers clinging to hope of a white model – already has one. The white iPhone is a dead horse, and no one’s getting a ride. How would you like to relive the tale of the white Apple product all over again? You wouldn’t? Well, you’re SOL, because here it comes! Courtesy of 9to5 Mac comes this photograph of an alleged white iPad 2 front – meaning, of course, that come April, we might have a new crowd of the foolish lined up to buy something that may never exist. Where’s the camera hole? Did Apple solve the paint issues, finally? I don’t know if I’m ready to believe this rumour just yet – then again, those two questions might have an inter-related answer. Apple claimed that too much ambient light was getting in through the white finish; in the iPad 2, perhaps the white finish IS the ambient light sensor, and that hole has been repurposed to fit the camera. That’s almost certainly not correct – but whatever. White iPad 2. Place your bets on when. Or if.
