When the Moto 360 was announced this year, safe to say that the smartwatch was definitely in a class of its own in terms of design. Other OEMs have gone for square-ish displays while Motorola has decided that they will keep to more traditional watch designs, thus resulting in what we’re sure many can admit is a beautiful device. That being said apart from its design, we have heard how the Moto 360 plans to stand out from the competition by offering wireless charging, and now according to a video by TechCrunch, it looks like that the Moto 360 will be coming with an additional sensor that other OEMs have neglected – an ambient light sensor.
In a video posted on TechCrunch’s YouTube channel featuring a hands-on with the upcoming Moto 360 smartwatch, a Motorola demonstrator revealed the smartwatch includes an ambient light sensor, a feature yet to be seen on any other Android Wear device. The light sensor could be the key to greater battery life compared to the other Android Wear devices, as it will most likely be used to adjust the display’s brightness depending on the lighting conditions. Other than the embedded video, there has been no mention of the device having a light sensor and these representatives aren’t always filled with accurate information, but for what it is, the Moto 360 is shaping up to the most well-rounded Wear device on the market.
