I think the majority of the reason (other than the U.S. being stuck in corporate greed) is that there is no major competitor that the U.S. is racing with, so they don’t give a fart. I think all our Astronomers and Astrophysicist, as other scientists should get onboard with a country that cares.

We need more people like him. This country is dumbing itself down day-by day and we are falling by the wayside. So may people these days are content to take things as they are told and at face value and forget to use our greatest asset……… our brain. The sad thing is that those in power want a dumb general public since it is so much easier to exploit. Lets face it, our greed has finally surpassed our ability to dream and we as a race are now on the downward path to our own destruction.
