While our main exports from Washington DC are disappointment and frustration, people like Neil deGrasse Tyson make me want to become a politician to fight the budget battles FOR scientific discovery. There is more to politics than legislating morality and debating spending cuts and tax increases; we could be using our position as the most advanced nation in the world to advance the Human species. Neil is a man that is enthusiastic about scientific discovery in a way accessible to the general public. We need more men like him in positions of power.
