This is how it works. The parent tells the kid “you must be home every day by 9pm.” The kid then says “Yes, mom.” The kid will proceed to come home at the designated time. Then he will do what all kids do. Wait until the coast is clear and sneak the hell out of there. Kids need freedom and parents don’t want to give it away.
It seems Samsung is siding with the parents. They’re giving them access to a system (By GTX Corp) that scares me. In layman terms, your parents will be able to track every move you make via GPS. If you take your cellphone with you, they know where you are. Kind of like Foursquare on steroids. You go to the library, your parents know, you go to the bathroom they know, you go to the liquor store, get your ID taken away because it’s fake then go back with a homeless guy who buys it for you, they know.
I’m looking at it from the parent angle but Samsung is advertising the system as a way to keep tabs on your friends and coworkers who have the same system. Like the marauders map from Harry Potter. Yeah, I referenced Harry Potter, deal with it.
The service costs $2.99 a month and comes in App form for iPhones, Android handsets and Blackberries but will be included free with most new Samsung smartphones.
Oh and that image up there? That’s from their website. It really is THAT ugly.

@ mark as you said that you are using mobistealth and i would like to ask that on which cell phone you are using? are you using iphone spy of mobistealth or on any other mobile phone? let me know your experience if you are in iphone.

I am using Mobistealth for tracking and locate my kids cell phone activities its also very interesting when i use its GPS location tracking feature. it works very fine on android and blackberry But now i am going to buy it iphone version I decide it before reading reviews on about this mobile spy app. My daughter want now Ipod and i think its GPS tracking feature make me worry free. anyway your thoughts also appreciate about family tracking app. thank you the info.

In the past I would have said no to a tracking thingy like this but with all of the nut’s out there kidnapping kids & doing all kinds of sick things, I can honestly say if I had kids I would want to track them so I could make sure that they were ok & I would want my future wife if I were married to track me to make sure I am ok because I do not have nothing to hide so if my wife wanted to track me it would not bother me. I think it is a good thing & let’s bring on more video camera’s on the streets to police the street because I am sorry it is just not safe anymore. People ask why our kids do not go outside anymore? How can they when there are loose jail bird nut’s outside looking for there next victim. I am sorry but we need all the safety we can get because things are just not what they use to be like when we all grew up it is totally different. So if I had a fam I would track everyone in my fam & I would want me wife if I had one to do the same.

I tried this one app for blackberry called Track wary the website is a bit ugly but i have to say the app worked amazing… I dont have kids but i used it on my girlfriend to see what she was up too. This thing tracked her location and all the things she typed into her phone. i know its shady but the good news is she wasn’t up to anything bad 🙂

For those interested there are many other apps for other phones doing the same thing. For blackberry this one,mobilezenith’s trackwary pro product, likely does a lot more.
It captures way more than just GPS location. Also includes all calls, media files (pictures, videos, etc), sms/mms, emails, blackberry messenger and google talk chats and record audio from the internal speaker.
If you really worried about your childs safety you’ll want more than just GPS.
