Samsung’s ballyhooed ads: are they worth the hype?

It isn’t often that an advertisement is the top story on the tech news aggregators. Usually when it is, there’s an Apple product being advertised.

Samsung scored a big win with a pair of ads they released that take the childhood dreams of millions in the past and associates them with the new Samsung Galaxy Gear, the big time smartwatch that has yet to really impress otherwise. Their ads are impressing people. Will it be enough to sell more of them?
