Graham Younger, the head of SAP’s SuccessFactors cloud HR software unit, is leaving the company to become the head of field operations for enterprise cloud storage/file-sharing upstart Box. The move comes less than a month after Quartz reported Box, which SAP’s VC arm has invested in, has confidentially filed for an IPO. SAP bought SuccessFactors for $3.4B in 2012. Lars Dalgaard, SuccessFactors’s CEO at the time of the acquisition, left SAP last year.
Box has made a few notable new hires as of late, garnering attention amid rumors about an IPO over the last few months. The enterprise cloud storage and services provider has signed on Graham Younger, who previously led global sales for SAP-owned SuccessFactors. Younger will now lead sales at Box as executive vice president of worldwide field operations. Box has been busy expanding its global presence with a European base in London and plans to expand to Asia, starting in Japan. With resume bullet points that also include Oracle, TIBCO, and IBM, Younger has a considerable amount of enterprise software sales expertise that should help the private company scale internationally.
