Save IE6: Because Progress is Overrated

When you enter that level of Internet embarrassment that people start to develop memes about you, you’ve transcended bad to become good again. Just as Rick Astley rematerialized in the form of the Rick Roll, a new effort is being made to “save” IE6.
On the website SaveIE6, people can sign a petition to bring the dead browser back from the realm of irrelevance.
“These days we are inundated with bloated web browsers that overcomplicate our lives. However, there is one eminent exception: IE6. It has been around since 2001 and is still one of the most powerful and versatile browsers available.”
The site is full of win with references to several clever reasons why the antiquated browser should live in. Well played, sirs and madams. Well played.
Wow .. talk about a Luddite …
A new effort? Well played?
“SaveIE6.com was put together as an April Fool’s joke by the uptime monitoring service Pingdom. Due to the tremendous interest it has received we have decided to keep this site up and running. Thanks everyone for the great feedback and for enjoying the irony!”

sure! what if even Microsoft feels sorry about IE6?
Oh please! I hope IE6 dies out VERY soon …
No native support for transparent png, massive security holes, has trouble rendering even the most basic HTML/CSS – Sure sounds like the best browser!
