Should social media in the workplace be used for business or pleasure, if at all?

Some employers may be wondering if their employees are using social media at work and/or if they should be allowed to use it. There are businesses that encourage their workers to use their personal accounts on social networks during working hours, due to wanting their employees to have an online presence. However, there are some companies who would prefer that their staff does not do this and often ban them from doing it while at work.
