After more than a decade of waiting, many of us have given up hope that Valve will ever release a new Half-Life game, but maybe another developer could do it. Neil Druckmann, the director behind The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, recently tweeted a half-joking, half-serious photo with the caption, “Look, Valve, all I’m saying is you give us the Half Life license and we’ll take care of the rest.”

Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann has expressed interest in making a Half-Life game. Everyone is still holding out hope that Valve will one day bring us a new Half-Life game. Be it Half-Life 3, a reboot, a spin-off, something. That includes Neil Druckmann, who is well known to Naughty Dog fans. Druckmann wrote The Last of Us and is currently working on Uncharted 4, so he knows a thing or two about narrative-driven games. Last week, Druckmann retweeted a photo on his Twitter with the caption “Look, Valve, all I’m saying is you give us the Half Life license and we’ll take care of the rest.” This is of course Merle Dandridge, the actress who played The Fireflies’ Marlene in The Last of Us, Alyx Vance in Half-Life, and many other roles. Go on, Valve. If you’re not planning on making a new Half-Life, you should take him up on his offer.
